About ColorMed Press

Helping Healthcare Students Learn Smarter

At ColorMed Press, we believe learning medicine shouldn't rely on memorizing endless lists of facts.

Our mission is to create visual educational resources that make complex medical concepts easier to understand, easier to remember, and more enjoyable to learn.

By combining evidence-based content with illustrations, visual memory techniques, and active learning strategies, our books help students build lasting knowledge instead of short-term memorization.

Whether you're studying for the NCLEX®, PTCB®, NAPLEX®, USMLE®, or preparing for your next pharmacology exam, our goal is simple:

Help you study smarter, remember longer, and become a more confident healthcare professional.

Created by a Registered Nurse

ColorMed Press was founded by Joseph Servatius, RN, BSN, a registered nurse with years of clinical experience in hospice, long-term care, assisted living, and healthcare leadership.

Throughout his nursing career, Joseph recognized a common challenge among students: pharmacology and other medical subjects are often taught through repetition and memorization rather than true understanding.

That experience inspired him to develop a different approach.

Every ColorMed Press publication is designed to simplify difficult concepts using visual learning, memorable illustrations, and practical study tools that promote deeper understanding and long-term retention.

Our Philosophy

We believe effective learning should be:

• Visually engaging

• Clinically accurate

• Easy to understand

• Built for long-term retention

• Designed by healthcare professionals who understand how students learn

Our books aren't created simply to help students pass exams—they're designed to help build the confidence and knowledge needed for real-world patient care.

Growing Beyond Pharmacology

ColorMed Press is building a comprehensive collection of visual learning resources for healthcare education.

Our expanding catalog includes pharmacology coloring books today, with future titles planned in subjects such as anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, microbiology, electrocardiography, and other essential healthcare topics.

Our vision is to become a trusted resource for nursing, pharmacy, medical, and allied health students throughout their educational journey.
